Seeking At-Large Board Members Now!

Membership of the Board includes representatives of all Regions within the Balance of State, as well as at-large representatives. At-large representatives should represent multiple regions, with priority given to sectors not currently represented on the Board.


Current Priorities: 

We are recruiting for representation for the following populations

  • Persons of Lived Expertise
  • Law Enforcement 
  • Hospitals
  • Education Systems
  • Service Organizations led by and who serve BIPOC and LGBTQ+ persons
  • Public Housing Authorities


Seats Available Seats: 

  • 3 At-Large Three Year Seats
  • 1 At-Large One Year Seat

Nominations for At-Large Board Members are due November 10th, 2022.

Full CoC Membership Photo Contest!

In honor of Homelessness Awareness Month, the CoC is seeking your best photos that embody the scope of what we do. One of the design tenants of the MO BoS CoC is “helping hands,” the images of your submission should center on this theme. The interpretation of this theme is up to the submitter.


Submissions are due November 28th, 2022. 


Selected submissions will be voted on at the Full CoC Membership Meeting on December 1st, 2022. The top 3 submitters with the most votes will receive a gift card prize. 


Note- the CoC is not looking for images of individuals in difficult situations. The CoC does not wish to highlight the misfortune of others. The CoC shall have the right to edit, duplicate, or alter the entry design for any purpose which it deems necessary or desirable, without the need for any further compensation, and/or permission.


Rules

  • If the face of your subject is visible in your submission, please have them sign and submit a Photo Release form from our website with your submission.
  • Submission Deadline is: Monday November 28th. Submissions after the deadline will not be accepted for the contest.
  • Images must be in a .jpeg/.png format
  • CoC Membership will vote on top submission at the Full CoC Meeting December 1st.
  • Winners will be contacted via email provided with entry.
  • You may submit more than once.

The CoC requires annual renewal of membership! Please complete the Membership form for your 2023 membership as soon as possible. If you have not updated your membership since October of 2022, complete the form to ensure your origination's membership with the CoC. Tuesday, November 8th is Election Day! Unhoused individuals are able to vote!


Key Questions:


  • Can someone who is unhoused register and vote? YES
  • What should this person list as their home address? A shelter address, or even a street name/corner
  • Does this person have to have lived at this location for a certain length of time? Varies depending on the state
