CRA Annual Report Reflects Growth, New Business Activity

The FY22 Community Redevelopment Agency Annual Report reflects that revitalization and private investment continues to grow throughout the CRA. The report documents financials, new business openings, development projects, incentive grant activity, commercial and residential projects, and beautification and historic preservation programs.
 
City Seeks Consultant for Downtown Parking Study

A Request for Proposals has been issued for a parking study in Tarpon Springs. The goal of the study is to assess current and future parking needs for the growing Downtown. Bids are due April 27. With a successful bid award, the project is estimated to begin in June and extend through the 2023-24 winter tourism season. The bid document is available through DemandStar.
Local Business Secures SBA Start-Up Assistance
Tarpon Springs Tattoo Company looks to take its business to the next level through guidance and resources available through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of Pinellas County Economic Development. SBDC provides free guidance and business assistance to new and start-up businesses throughout the County.

Black Rifle Coffee to Construct New Store on US 19
Black Rifle Coffee is opening a new coffee shop in the City on a vacant, undeveloped lot at 40390 US 19. Black Rifle is a veteran-founded and owned coffee shop that also helps other service members successfully transition from the military to entrepreneurship and are committed to hiring veterans. They blend and roast their own coffee and offer several varieties of roasts, from light to dark, five alarm, organic, and more.
Welcome New Business: Sunshine Eco-Finds Boutique
A new women's clothing and accessories store, Sunshine Eco-Finds Resale Boutique, is expanding from sharing space inside Moonberry Mercantile & Trading, to its own storefront at 409 S. Pinellas Ave. The boutique is hosting a grand opening weekend March 31-April 1, 11 am-6 pm. The owners offer curated second hand clothing and accessories, and will continue to have a limited supply of its clothing at Moonberry Mercantile & Trading.
