April 11th: Multi Chamber Networking hosted by the Winchester Chamber of Commerce at Lord Hobo, Woburn. 6:30 pm – 4:30 pm. Click here to register.

April 27th: Malden hosts the third Asian Business Training and Mentorship Pitch Competition. On April 27th, the Malden Chamber of Commerce will host the 3rd Asian Business Pitch Competition. A program of the Asian American Civic Association and its affiliate, the Asian Business Training and Mentoring Program, the Pitch Contest gives Asian business owners the opportunity to pitch their business. Whether you own an existing business, or have a business in the idea phase, all participants will receive coaching from a Boston University professor and will have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes provided by J.P. Morgan Chase. This event will take place at the Malden Public Library, 36 Salem Street, from 5:45 pm -8:45 pm. It is free and open to the public, but participants must apply in advance. All the details are here. 

June 15th: Return of Comedy Night—Featuring Dave Russo and Friends and hosted at MIXX 360, this is an evening of fun and friendship you don’t want to miss. Tickets and sponsorship information will be announced soon, but please reach out to director@maldenchamber.org with any questions.


June 24th: Summer Festival The City of Malden is pleased to announce the 2023 Summer Festival on June 24th from 12 pm -4 pm on Pleasant Street and Exchange Street. If you are an artist looking to display and sell your original work, or if you are a local business or organization hoping to have an information table, please contact the Chamber of Commerce at Events@maldenchamber.org.  

October 1st: Crock & Cup: The Soup Festival

October 1-7th: Malden’s Restaurant Week

October 31st: Trick or Treat at Malden Businesses

Every other Tuesday: Social Media Study Group on Zoom from 4:00 pm - 4:50 pm. Facilitated by Kevin Thai of Three Circle Studios, this group is a peer-to-peer study group where members learn from one another. Next meeting is April 11th. Contact the Chamber Office for more information. Invitation will be sent at the beginning of each Month.

Meet The People Who Make It Happen
A new feature where you learn something about our volunteer Board members.
Introducing Chamber Board member Terry Holmgren. Terry is the Business Engagement Manager at Triangle, Inc. where he creates opportunities for individuals served at Triangle to engage with our local businesses through work, volunteering, internships and connections with professionals in the community. Terry is in his second year as a Chamber Board member, and he co-chairs the Membership Committee. In his free time, Terry likes to spend time with his family in Gloucester. An avid reader, gardener and runner, Terry adds a lot to the Malden Chamber and the community.

Learn What Our Members Are Doing



RESPOND Inc, a pioneer in the effort to end domestic violence, will host its annual gala on May 4th at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge.  Supporting RESPOND is one way to protect people in violent relationships. 
Malden Catholic is hosting its 17th annual gala and kicking off the festivities with an online auction that opens on April 20th. Malden Catholic looks to you, their peer Chamber members for donations. What would you like to donate to showcase your business and help with this fundraiser? Look at some of the suggestions for donations by clicking here. 
The Mystic Valley YMCA is once again hosting Healthy Kids’ Day on April 22nd from 11am – 1 pm at the Malden YMCA, 99 Dartmouth Street. This is a family friendly event and the largest community event hosted by the YMCA. Interested in sponsorship?

Small Business Resources

Malden based businesses may qualify for one year of free Chamber membership. Through a partnership with the City of Malden, the Chamber has funds available to grant one year of free membership to businesses who are owned by women or underrepresented groups; will add value to the Chamber and the Malden business community; who want to play an active role in the Chamber both in the short term as well as long term; and who will actively seek out and use the resources of the Chamber membership to further grow their business. If you or any business you know might grow from this opportunity.
