Genevieve Oliver is the Recipient of the
2022 D4K Christian Kennedy Training Grant
Dressage4Kids and Anne Baber Wallis are pleased to announce that Genevieve Oliver is the recipient of the 2022 D4K Christian Kennedy Training Grant. As the recipient of the scholarship, Genevieve will work under the training leadership of Danish Olympian Lars Petersen at Legacy Farms in Loxahatchee, Florida. Lars has very generously donated the lessons.

This scholarship is awarded in memory of Christian Kennedy. Christian's ability and work ethic made it possible for him to work in top national programs, but as a young rider he was most known for his love of horses, his kindness, and his horsemanship. The Christian Kennedy scholarships are a reflection of his legacy - a focus on good training, but also on kindness, good horsemanship, and good sportsmanship.

Genevieve recently placed 9th in the Junior Rider Team Test at the 2021 North American Youth Championships and is planning on training towards both the NAYC Young Riders Division and the U25 Grand Prix in the future.

When asked about Genevieve, Sally Lofting writes, "I have had the pleasure of being Evie’s dressage coach for the last 2 years. One of the first things that struck me when I met her was her maturity and poise for a person of her age. I soon came to see that along with that came a hard-working, determined, and competitive person. She is a great ambassador for the sport."

When asked about the scholarship, Genevieve writes, "This opportunity to be taught by Danish Olympian Lars Petersen will provide me with the critical tools needed to take on the more challenging movements of dressage and improve my performance in the ring. As I continue to advance, I can learn so much from a trainer who has had as much experience and talent as Lars Petersen. Having audited some of his lessons, I know how dedicated he is to developing suppleness to increase the ease of the upper level work. I cannot thank Dressage4Kids, Anne Baber Wallis, and Lars Petersen enough for this chance to improve my riding and work towards being a top FEI competitor."

Congratulations, Genevieve!
