Town Council Meetings This Week

Please join us for the special Council meeting this week on May 12th at 6:30pm in the Women's Club or online. This special meeting will feature information about the Housing Element. An update of progress made and work yet to do will be presented. Learn more about this important process and how you can participate on the special website www.fairfaxspeaks.com


On Friday, May 13th the Council will meet for their annual Budget Workshop starting at 10am in the Women's Club. This workshop will not be broadcast but the public is welcome in person.

Coffee with the Cops - Next Monday!

Join the Fairfax Police Department for another great event at the Coffee Roasters. The special topic during this event will be a discussion of AB 481 - Special or Military Equipment, by Chief Rico Tabaranza.
Ride & Drive Clean EV/Ebike Showcases - a Great Success!

Thank you to all who joined us during March and April EV Awareness Months. We are pleased to have engaged with over 1,000 EV and Ebike curious people during these months at our in-person events and webinars. Our April EV and Ebike Shows were a big hit – we showcased dozens of new EVs and Ebikes.

These students have created solutions to environmental problems here in Marin including holding a benefit concert for amphibians, local e-waste drive, butterfly and bee landscaping techniques, invasive plant pulls, helping local businesses become greener and more!

Free Compost for Fairfax Residents Only

Come reap the rewards of putting your compostables in the green bin! Marin Sanitary delivered our community compost on Thursday April 28th in a designated area on Elsie Lane just below the Pavilion parking lot.

One 5 gallon bucket per resident. Fairfax residents only. Bring your own containers and shovel.
Paper Grocery Bags Needed by Fairfax Food Pantry
 
The Fairfax Volunteers are in need of paper grocery bag donations for the food pantry. Slightly used bags may be dropped off at the Fairfax Community Church, 2398 Sir Francis Drake Blvd., on Saturday mornings between 7-10am.

Red Cross - Sound the Alarm

Home fires claim seven lives every day, but together we can change that. The Red Cross is offering FREE smoke alarm installations and home fire safety information in Marin County.
