Update from the Director
Greetings Madrone Trail Community,
I sincerely hope everyone is ready for a wonderful Thanksgiving break!
I immensely appreciate everyone's patience while I was out on Paternity Leave, our Assistant Director was out sick, and we lacked an Office Manager for almost 2 months. To say we were running on a skeleton crew would be an understatement.
I am now back in the office every day, but will not be arriving until 10 AM. Please feel free to call or email me and I will get back to you ASAP. I do have quite the backlog, so if you are still awaiting a response, it is coming I assure you.
We are pleased to welcome our new Office Manager, Tess Shrewsbury. She started this week and we are so impressed and pleased to have her join our Madrone Trail team.
We also welcomed our first Social Emotional Advisor, Shelby Dias. She has some training and shadowing of other SEAs at other schools to complete, but she should be interacting with our students after the break.
Please be on the lookout for their pictures and biographies on our website and Friday Update in the coming weeks.
I sincerely hope everyone has a great Turkey Day! If you, or know of anyone in our community, that is in need of a turkey, it would be my pleasure to buy one for them. This has always been my favorite time of year with family so I would hate for anyone to go wanting if all it would take is for me to drop off a turkey.
Again, thanks for your patience; becoming a parent shifted from being the most stressful endeavor to the most rewarding for me and my wife in the last few weeks. He's a champ and brings us so much joy! I was tired of hearing it, but everyone is right; it's just amazing how much you can love someone.
I have said it before, but I want the community to know that Cori and Sherrie really held the school together while I was gone. Please offer them some gratitude the next time you encounter them.
My door is always open and I hopefully and eventually will have time to get to all my emails. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any concerns.
Sincerely,
John Bissey
Director
