Don’t Let Lung Cancer Sneak Up On You

If you smoke, or used to smoke, getting an annual screening to detect lung cancer could save your life. Lung cancer is mostly caused by smoking and is the leading cause of death in the US.

Spots on the lungs, called lung nodules, often start growing without any signs or symptoms. Lung nodules are often harmless, but sometimes they are early lung cancer. When you get a lung screening CT scan, we can find lung cancer at an earlier, more easily treatable stage. Call your primary care provider or 617-665-1017. Learn more here.
Join us for Lunch & Learn

Join Dr. Jennifer Wilson, CHA thoracic surgeon and Susan Hoye, CHA’s Tobacco Treatment program director, for a discussion on the most effective ways to breathe
better. Quitting anything can be rough, but stopping smoking tops the list. Find out how you can help yourself and the people you care about as well as get information
about lung nodule screenings. Click here to sign up and get the Zoom link.
