Michelle

Major: Criminal Justice

Minor: Political Science & Interdisciplinary Studies

Commuters, meet Michelle! Michelle is a second year Criminal Justice major with minors in Political Science and Interdisciplinary Studies and her plan is to graduate in 2026! Michelle usually commutes to campus by taking the trolley, which drops her off right here on campus. When asked, Michelle said her favorite spot to hang out on campus is the Aztec Student Union, including the Center for Commuter Life, the Goodfriend lounge, or simply the couches that are scattered on the 2nd and 3rd floors. One fun fact about Michelle is that she is a part of Stitches @ SDSU, where she learned to crochet and is currently practicing to create amigurumi plushies. If Michelle could give any advice it would be that the smartest thing you can do is ask questions. Don't understand the topic? Raise your hand. Too shy? Use email or office hours. Financial questions? Emotionally overwhelmed? Need advising help? GET CONNECTED. The Center for Commuter Life has amazing staff you can approach at any time whose job is to help you, so go ask questions! Never let those doubts complicate your college path. Michelle recently moved to America two years ago from Mexico during her senior year of high school. She is a first-generation college students and says that if she can make it to her second year, so can you! <3
