Dr. Rebecca Carter-Chand on American religious responses to the rise of Nazism

Dr. Rebecca Carter-Chand, Director of Programs on Ethics, Religion, and the Holocaust at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., will present on "American Religious Responses to the Rise of Nazism." The talk is sponsored by the Academic Dean's Office and the departments of History and Religious Studies, and is co-sponsored by the J.M.S. Careless History Club.

Graduate School Application Sessions

EDID Town Hall: What is Truth and Reconciliation

The Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Decolonization is hosting a monthly town hall to bring the King's community together for conversations related to EDID. This month's town hall is on "What is Truth and Reconciliation? What is your role?" Sean Hoogterp, Indigenous Initiatives Coordinator for King's, Huron and Brescia, will be in attendance. Let's discuss how we can become better allies to Indigenous People. Refreshments provided.

Celebrate Women's History Month
The government of Canada designated October as Women's History Month in 1992. This annual celebration of the outstanding achievements of women throughout Canada's history includes International Day of the Girl on October 11 and Persons Day on October 18. Our Women's History page highlights interdisciplinary courses at King’s, books on women’s history by King’s faculty and recommendations for further reading from the King’s Library.

King's at London Chamber of Commerce Breakfast
King's was well-represented at the London Chamber of Commerce breakfast on October 20, 2023, by Laura Crowe, President of King's University College Students' Council (left) and Dr. Erin Hannah, Associate Dean of Research (right). This was a great opportunity for student leaders to network with their counterparts in the local and political community such as Marit Stiles, Leader of Ontario's Official Opposition and the Ontario NDP (centre).

Get involved with KUCSC
KUCSC will be hosting this year's Grad Ball on Friday, November 10, 2023. Volunteers will be needed for this event and more throughout the school year. Volunteering is a great way to get involved around campus and meet new people, as well as gain valuable resume and co-curricular record experience. King's University College Students' Council (KUCSC) is looking for donations of books for the Reflection Room in the King Student Life Centre. Possible topics include wellness, mental health, reflection, spirituality, yoga and meditation. Participate in a Research Project About Safety and Equity
Students experiencing barrier(s) to safety, inclusion, and wellbeing on campus are invited to participate in a student-led, collaborative research project exploring students' priorities for additional campus resources, and their responses to racism, ableism, gender-and sexual-based violence, violence against 2SLGBTQIA+ people (and their intersections).

King's and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (CanCham) have signed a partnership agreement. The collaboration has the potential to provide access to exceptional experiential learning, internships and job opportunities for King's students and alumni in Vietnam through CanCham's extensive network.

King's and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (CanCham) have signed a partnership agreement. The collaboration has the potential to provide access to exceptional experiential learning, internships and job opportunities for King's students and alumni in Vietnam through CanCham's extensive network.
Dr. Felipe Rodrigues, Assistant Professor of Operations Management and Analytics in the School of Management, Economics, and Mathematics, says students are ready because King’s would be helping to develop their critical thinking skills by introducing Indigenous problem-solving approaches. “Our students are welcoming of different cultures and will see it positively,” he says.

MEM Career Readiness
Career Readiness workshops will help you enhance your professional, technical and networking skills. Students who attend a certain number of Career Readiness events by their third year at King's will qualify for their co-curricular record and a certificate from the Registrar's Office. This program is open to all students but tailored to the students in the School of Management, Economics, and Mathematics.

Join us for Sunday Eucharist
Masses are offered in The Chapel at Windermere on the Mount (WOTM) on Sundays at 10 a.m. and at 5 p.m. followed by the community meal in the parish hall. Weekday Masses will be on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at WOTM and noon mass on Thursdays and Fridays at King's Christ the King Chapel.

Ecological Day of Reflection

Discover and create a life connected to earth and others by reflecting, meditating and conversing with one another. Join other students for a day of reflection at the Ignatius Jesuit Centre in Guelph. Cost is $20 which includes meals and transportation. Register before October 24, 2023 (space is limited).
