Pausing for January

As you know, we are experiencing a record spike in Covid cases due to the Omicron variant in our region. The good news is that this latest variant is much milder and resulting in relatively fewer hospitalizations and serious complications. The bad news is that it is highly transmissible. Here is a link to a reasonably encouraging article from the NY Times.

The Forward in Faith Together Committee and Session met this week and decided that we are going to take a J-term Break on in-person, in-building activities. Sunday worship will continue, of course, but it will be livestream only. There will be no children’s church school or child care, adult education, choirs, or youth fellowship gatherings for the next couple of weeks. We are very much hoping and anticipating that we will return to a regular schedule in late January or early February.

For us that means that the "Faith 'n Technology" all-ages classes will be put on hold for the spring and the resumption of the Sunday night schedule is up in the air. We hope to be back by January 23 - watch this space!
