| With in-person and virtual attendees from Mexico, United States, Austria, Costa Rica, Colombia, Spain, France, Chile, United Kingdom, Georgia and Bangladesh, the 2022 IAUP Regional Meeting “Recovery and Transformation: New Challenges for Leaders of Higher Education”, was held successfully at Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (UNAB) in Colombia, from September 28-30, 2022. CAUCASUS UNIVERSITY AWARDS HONORARY DOCTORATE DEGREE TO IAUP PRESIDENT
| On July 30, 2022, the Caucasus University of Tbilisi, Georgia, awarded an Honorary Doctorate to IAUP President, Dr. Fernando León García, for his distinguished contribution to internationalization in higher education. León-García received the recognition from Dr. Kakha Shengelia, Caucasus University President and IAUP Chairman of the Board, during the institution’s graduation ceremony. | | |

2022 IAUP INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MODEL COMPETITION WINNERS ANNOUNCED | On August 18, 2022, the Awards Ceremony for the 2022 IAUP International Business Model Competition took place virtually, with participants from around the world. First and third place went to Hunan University, and second place went to SIAS University, both in China. | | |

MEF UNIVERSITY: KEEPING EDUCATION IN LINE WITH CHANGING LEARNING PARADIGMS IN THE DIGITAL AGE | This year IAUP Member MEF University which opened in 2014 as the world’s first and only fully flipped university, saw further development to its latest innovations: an institutional agreement with Coursera with two main aims: 1) to become the main MOOC provider used in Personalized Learning Experience; 2) to become a content provider for some departmental courses. | | |

IAUP-MEMBERS CONCLUDE COOPERATION AGREEMENT | The renowned and triple accredited Kedge Business School with locations in Marseille, Bordeaux and Paris, and the FH OÖ Business School in Steyr have concluded a multi-dimensional cooperation agreement. Contact between the institutions dates back to recent IAUP meetings in Georgia. | | |

CETYS INAUGURATES THE CEVIT WINE INSTITUTE | The CEVIT Wine Institute at IAUP Member CETYS University in Mexico was recently inaugurated. The $4 million facility, only one of its kind in the country, is located at the Ensenada Campus in northern Baja California, a region recognized worldwide for its vineyards and winemaking activity. | | |

IAUP TREASURER ELECTED PRESIDENT FOR WORLD FEDERATION OF UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATIONS | On November 1st, Geneva time, Dr. Shawn Chen, Treasurer and President-Elect of IAUP, was elected as the President for World Federation of United Nations Associations. WFUNA is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations (UNAs) and their thousands of constituents. | | |
