An Evening With Sasha Rearick

Join us on October 18th and 25th at 7pm for two different presentations by Sasha Rearick.

Sasha is a current Alpine Performance Director at Apex2100 which is a new international ski academy based in Tignes, France. Formerly, Sasha has been a US Ski Team coach for 19 years as well as the Men’s Head Alpine Coach for ten of those years: 2008 to 2018.

His last three years as Head Men’s Development Coach was leading Project 26. Prior to US Ski Team Sasha was a teacher and coach at Green Mountain Valley School for three years.

L100 News

Following is the wording in the USS Comp Guide for the L100 requirement:

After the spring of 2022, all coaches will be required to be certified with a Level 100 certification or higher to coach at a sanctioned U.S. Ski & Snowboard event. Please plan ahead and sign up for a L100 course soon. Coach membership will be “pending” until Level 100 requirements are met during the 2022-23 season.

Please note the underlined - all coaches will be required to be certified with a Level 100 certification or higher to coach at a sanctioned U.S. Ski & Snowboard event.

This means that coaches who DO NOT coach at US Ski & Snowboard sanctioned events are not required to have a L100 certification. 

Developing strong coaches should be a priority. The L100 is a valuable educational program. It may seem a difficult ladder to climb at the moment most really good things are. Take the time and make the effort to complete the L100, our youngest athletes who are at the base of our athlete pyramid with our largest numbers need you.

TAKE NOTE: Former USST athletes do not need to do the on-snow portion but need to do the online module section. This is free for former USST athletes.

A note on the L100 Elearning course

The L100 Alpine eLearning course must be completed before the on-snow clinic. The course consists of multiple modules and is designed to be complete in 10 hours. For some it can take substantially longer and many find the material difficult.
