Reminder: Join us for monthly service seminar tomorrow

Haven Harbour Yacht Services' Erik Lostrom concludes monthly educational seminars tomorrow, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 noon. The session is free and open to roughly 35 attendees, with opportunities at winning raffle prizes.

Tomorrow, March 18 (Session III) – Air conditioning, refrigeration, generators and more. Hank Hinckley Jr. from Hank Hinckley Boat Builders will be presenting. This session will occur at Haven Harbour South's Ark & Dove Restaurant at 21142 Green Lane, Rock Hall, Md.

Seeking Talent: Lostrom attends job fair at Maine's The Landing School

Last Monday, March 6, Technical Lead Erik Lostrom traveled to the Pine Tree State to represent Haven Harbour at a job fair hosted by The Landing School.

"The demand for skilled labor in the marine trades is high and at all levels," said Erik. "I talked with several students looking forward to a future in the industry, which is promising to us all in the business."

The event, located at the school'a campus in Arundel, Maine, included participating companies from the marine, boat building and aerospace industries.

BOATYARD MODE NOW, RESORT MODE SOON

We would like to friendly remind all customers, patrons and guests that though warmer temps are heading our way, both Haven Harbour Marina and Haven Harbour South will remain in "boatyard mode" for several more weeks. Swimming pools, bar and grills, live entertainment, landscaping and more will be coming very soon, as integral parts of our, "resort mode." Stay tuned.

OPEN ON WEEKENDS BEGINNING APRIL 1

Haven Harbour Marina and Haven Harbour South will resume weekend operation starting Saturday, April 1. Hours of service will be 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

SPRING COMMISSIONING

If you are winter storing with us this year, please submit your spring commissioning work order as soon as possible.

SHRINKWRAP RECYCLING

As part of a region-wide initiative, all vessels that have requested for their shrinkwrap to be removed by Haven Harbour Yacht Services will have a $15 recycling bag fee charged to their commissioning work order. DIYers will need to buy the $15 recycling bag from one of our marine stores in order to dispose of any removed shrinkwrap. Boats larger than 35 feet may require two bags.

Haven Harbour Spring Yard & Sidewalk Sale:

We will be holding a sale on Saturday, April 15 from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 noon in the employee parking lot located opposite the Haven Harbour Marina office and marine store. Sale items to include old pilings, sewer pipes, construction supplies, fencing sections, boats, vehicles, windows, lights and fixtures, furniture and nautical decor.
