Week of Giving Donations Total Almost $173,000!

The community really stepped up during this Week of Giving, making over 200 donations totaling almost $173,000 and bringing the total amount raised so far for the current Giving Campaign to over $1,000,000! Thank you for your generous support of Moraga public schools.

Moraga Students Celebrate Week of Giving Moraga students came out this week to thank parents for supporting their schools! On Wednesday morning at LP, CP, Rheem, JM, and Campo there were signs, flags, and lots of smiling students thanking parents for donating to support their school. Parents honked and waved as they dropped their kids off at school. It was a wonderful sight!

This week, we've received a lot of questions about what donors should do if they are either donating through their company or are expecting a match later in the campaign. This is a great question! Company matching accounts for a significant amount of our donations. If you don't know if your company matches charitable donations, please check with your HR department. There is also a place on our website where you can enter your employer's name into the Double the Donation database to see what its program is. If you have donated through your company, or you are expecting a matching donation later in the year, please make a pledge to MEF for the total amount of your donation by filling out the pledge form on our website. There is a line on the pledge form where you can indicate that MEF will be receiving a matching gift from your employer. When your employer match comes in, your pledge will be satisfied. Filling out the pledge form will help the MEF office know what donation is anticipated and will remove your name from our Ambassador outreach lists. The MEF office sends out pledge reminders in February and April. Please note that when donating to MEF through your employer's donation program, it can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months before MEF receives the funds.
