Filming of FBI series 'Class of '09' to be filmed at City Hall
Minim Productions is expected to film at City Hall in February or March, shooting scenes for a new FBI series. The scenes will be shot in three meeting rooms, a hallway and the rear parking lot.

The eight-part series produced by FX Productions revolves around a group of FBI agents who graduated from Quantico in 2009 and are reunited following the death of a mutual friend. Spanning three decades and told across three interweaving timelines, the series examines the nature of justice, humanity and the choices we make that ultimately define our lives and our legacy. The series stars Brian Tyree Henry and Kate Mara, among others.

As the country continues to deal with the pandemic, how we live our day to day lives has been altered-- permanently. Not only has the pandemic had physical and emotional effects, but Zoom calls, online learning, curbside pickup, and food delivery are now commonplace. The pandemic has accelerated the trend toward online shopping and brick-and-mortar retail stores are struggling to find new ways to get shoppers back. City honored for Smart Roads, innovation

The City of Peachtree Corners recently received a 2021 innovator award in the "Smart Roads" category from CompassIntel.com.

Compass Intelligence honors and recognizes the best of the best Internet of Things (IoT) companies, organizations, products, platforms, and solutions.

Recently, Compass Intelligence recognized 21 companies in distinct IoT categories specific to industry, in addition to five awards selected solely by Compass Intelligence. Nominations came in from analysts, companies, partners, press relations and corporate communications contacts followed by a voting process. The city was recognized for its Smart Roads technologies underway at Curiosity Lab, from solar strips to vehicle detection devices.

Curiosity Lab at Peachtree Corners is a publicly funded living lab designed to provide a real world test environment to advance next generation intelligent mobility and smart city technology. Companies test in the environment, free of charge, and solely retain the data for their use.

Economist to provide economic outlook

Dr. Alfie Meek, the director for the Center for Economic Development Research at the Georgia Tech Enterprise Innovation Institute, will provide an overview of Gwinnett's economy at Partnership Gwinnett's Economic Outlook Tuesday, Feb. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the John C. Maxwell Leadership Center at 12 Stone Church, 2050 Sugarloaf Circle in Duluth. READ MORE
