District Seeks Applications for Community Stakeholder Group

The District is accepting applications from community members wishing to participate in the Shaker Schools Facilities Advisory Committee. To apply, click here

The Shaker Schools Facilities Advisory Committee is a stakeholder group that will help shape and guide implementation of the Long-Term Master Facilities Plan, provide community feedback as the District works to implement the Master Facilities Plan and engage with the broader community regarding the implementation of the Master Facilities Plan

Submissions for this form are due by 5 p.m. on November 6. The stakeholder group will consist of approximately 30 members. Half of the group will be determined by random lottery and half will be appointed by the District and Board of Education to ensure equitable demographic and geographic representation.

Members of the group will be identified by mid-November. It is expected the group will hold its first meeting by early December and will meet monthly thereafter.

Ludlow Project Architects Holding Meet-and-Greet on October 26

The Akron-based GPD Group, which the District has engaged to design the renovation that will convert Ludlow School into a PreK complex, has scheduled a meet-and-greet for interested members of the public. The event will take place October 26, at 6 p.m. in the small auditorium of the High School (15911 Aldersyde Drive).

At the meeting, GPD will review the design and construction process, listen to feedback from the public and discuss future engagement opportunities regarding the project.
