Refugee Ministry Annual Kickoff!

This is our annual kickoff for the Refugee ministry, which will be for the next four weeks. We still have storage, green cards, health exams, and bicycle accessories to pay for.  We still have furnishings to give to refugees who are moving from family and friends into their own apartments. If you have donations, contact Nona via text or email and she will see if they can be used. Please remember us and be generous. Thank you from the Refugee Committee!

The Community Service Ministry is looking for helping hands on March 30th to sort & pack the Spring Cleaning in-kind drive donations. If you are able to help then please stay after the first service or come early for the second service.

Hearing Survey

As some of you may be aware, our hearing system was badly damaged from the hurricane back in September. Before we install the same hearing system, we wanted to take this time to survey our congregation in order to best meet your needs! Please take some time to complete this survey. Once done, we will consult with FAMA Productions to choose the best system to fit our congregation!

To take the survey, please use the link below. Thank you in advance!

SAKLC Quilter Update!

Our dedicated quilters of SAKLC worked through hurricanes and were able to deliver 160 quilts to Lutheran World Relief. These quilts will be sent internationally and to the people that were affected by the floods and wildfires in the United States. They will continue to set up shop in Ruth Veit’s garage until after Easter. If you would like to lend a hand then please contact Ruth. No experience needed! Come and meet a wonderful group of ladies and learn a new craft at the same time. Donations and volunteers are always welcome!

Quick Restoration Project Update

Behold all things will be new for us at SAKLC!  We continue to stay focused on getting the rebuild complete by Easter –If you haven’t had a chance to be in person this week, our new chairs arrived and they are beautiful!  It will be an exciting few weeks ahead.

We received our insurance payment for the house/garage. Per approval at our Feb. 2025 congregation meeting, we voted to tear house down vs. rebuilding due to the extensive damage to the structures. As shared with in the meeting, we believe this puts the Church in a better position for future sale of property while reducing maintenance expenses.  The demolition will be taking place in the next few weeks.

And we are happy to let you know that the restoration of our beautiful meditation garden has begun. It will have new sod and plantings ready for our outdoor worship on Easter Sunday!

If you have any questions, please reach out.

Celebrating Easter's Joy with Flowers!

We will have so much to celebrate as we gather on Easter Sunday! Christ is Risen! Alleluia! And we will celebrate his resurrection in our "All Made New" Sanctuary! A new pipe organ! New Floor! New walls! All new Seats! It will be beautiful — in music, in Pastor's message, and in our place of Worship!

We are making a special effort to compliment the new Sanctuary with "the best floral decorations" ever. We invite and encourage everyone to help support this effort with donations "in memory of/celebration for" those important to you. (As you consider what amount is appropriate, please know that the hydrangea plants cost the church $21.00/each!)

Because of last year's storms, we have been told the supply of lilies and hydrangeas will not meet demand. So, we've already placed our order. Now, we ask you to help us with your gift for Easter flowers.

You can use the button below to place your Easter flower order. You may send your payment in the mail or drop it in the offertory basket on Sunday. Please write "Easter Flowers" on the memo line.
