The Collective Responsibility of the Community is of vital importance to comply with the Biosafety protocols in the School, in our family and social environment.
The School Medical Service recommends that you carefully review the information below to ensure the well-being of the Community.

We will continue to strictly follow all biosecurity measures and are committed to protecting our entire community. Due to the high number of cases reported to our School Medical Service, it is necessary to require self-management of our own health in making timely decisions to prevent the spread in our community of COVID-19 during this fourth peak.

Therefore, please observe the following guidelines:

  1. At the first sign of a symptom related to COVID-19, such as a runny nose, fever, headache, among others, you should self-quarantine immediately for 7 days, no matter what your vaccination status is. It's important to isolate as soon as possible in order to prevent the transmission of the virus. You should contact your health insurance (EPS - Global Policy, prepaid medicine) to get checked and tested. If it's not possible to arrange an appointment with your health insurance, your case will be considered as a positive case, and you will have to be isolated.
  2. After the 7 days self-quarantine period, you may return to your daily activities if you´ve been without fever for at least 24 hours without using cold medication, or if you have a significant improvement in symptoms (cough, muscular ache, or difficulty breathing). If you don't meet the previous criteria, you have to remain in self-quarantine and contact your health service provider to determine a return date.
  3. If you have been in close contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case, and do not show any symptoms and are up-to-date with Covid-19 vaccination, you do not have to self-quarantine, but must reinforce the basic biosafety measures: use of mask, physical distancing, and frequent hand washing. Please monitor your health, and, if you identify any symptoms, self-quarantine immediately and report your case to your health service provider and the school´s medical service
  4. If you have been in close contact with a positive case, and you have symptoms, please comply with the measures given at the beginning of this list (# 1) .
  5. If you have been in close contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case and you don´t have a complete vaccination plan, or if you are not vaccinated, you will have to self-quarantine for 7 days after the last contact with the positive case.
How to report a case?
The official report channels for suspected or confirmed cases are the link in our webpage, the PowerSchool survey, and/or the Medical Service email cbserviciomedico@colegiobolivar.edu.co .

Reporting through any of the above channels will suffice. The school’s Medical Service will contact you. Considering the high number of cases being reported daily, you may not get an answer on the same day. In the meantime, please follow the above mentioned guidelines and contact your health service provider. To guarantee tracking of each case consultation must be through email. Reporting via WhatsApp will be not responded to.
Important Recommendations
Please remember that the school does not offer virtual classes during the Face-to-Face Learning Model. Each Section will communicate the academic guidelines in place with you directly in case of absences.

We strongly recommend using surgical masks when on campus. In person meetings on campus are still restricted. These will be permitted only when required by the academic section and previously scheduled.
