November is my favorite time of year in the Sebastian River Area (SRA). The weather begins to cool off, white pelicans start arriving, and tasty stone crab are in-season. It’s the perfect time to be outdoors and immersed in nature.
The SRA has so many hidden gems to discover outdoors. Click here to view our SRA Visitor Guide and drop in the Pelican Porch Visitor’s Center when you first arrive for all the inside information. Pick up brochures and maps on hiking and biking trails, educational nature centers, watercraft rentals, fishing charters, outdoor activities, entertainment, and so much more! Come on by, we would love to share our local knowledge with you.

Jam out with the Friends of Sebastian Inlet State Park and Minglewood. Minglewood is a Grateful Dead style band playing a variety of Grateful Dead’s extensive catalog, along with songs from The Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Jerry Garcia Band, Bob Dylan and more! Bring your friends, picnic food, blanket, and chairs and settle in for a night filled with music and dancing under the stars. Picnic tables are first come, first serve. The concert is free with regular park admission fee.
