FEAR, HOPE, PROMISE

SCRIPTURE: Luke 2:8-10

It is a time of great uncertainty! There is so much going on in the world today.

We are facing challenges many of us had never even considered possible.

There is the pandemic of COVID-19 but also hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and fires.

Concerns not only for us as individuals and our families but across the world.

There is not much good news. We do, however, have great comfort and assurance for, as we begin this Advent season we have the message of the shepherds “Do not be afraid” and the promise found in Deuteronomy 31:16 and Isaiah 41:10:
God is always with us.
He is our strength.
We can trust in Him.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, We thank you for your unfailing love and  assurance. In these days of uncertainty we find strength in you. What joy we have each day as we look forward to celebrating the most precious gift of our Savior’s birth. Help us to keep our eyes and our hearts focused on You. Amen
