REMINDER: College Select Students (off campus) PPCC Spring courses begin next week! Login to your PPCC portal to view your "Detailed Student Schedule" for exact days and times. TEXTBOOKS NEW INFORMATION Students taking off-campus PPCC courses will need to wait to receive textbook information from their instructors on the first day of courses. Once students have identified required textbooks, they may contact CECCS Business Manager, Corrie Jaramillo to check if we have the required textbook in the CECCS lending library. If NOT, students will need to use the ISBN# to get the book(s) from PPCC or other bookseller or rental supplier. (example Amazon) Email is the best method of contact for Mrs. Jaramillo. NOTE: Students, it is vital when contacting Mrs. Jaramillo that you have already identified the required textbook with ISBN and include that information in the email inquiry for efficiency. PEBT LEARNING MODALITY DISPUTES FOR APRIL/MAY 2021 Households have another opportunity to dispute learning modalities that may have differed from their district-reported learning modality for the months of April 2021 and May 2021 only. This process is initiated by households wishing to contest P-EBT benefits for both April and May. Disputes for a single benefit month (i.e. April OR May 2021) will not be considered. The P-EBT Support Center will issue the April/May Learning Modality Dispute Resolution Form. This form will not be available before Tuesday, January 15th and must be returned by Tuesday, February 15. Households must contact the P-EBT Support Center, 1-800-536-5298 or cdhs_pebtcolorado@state.co.us, in order to receive a dispute resolution form. The household will then provide the dispute resolution form to the school to verify any learning modality changes and must be completed and signed by a school official. Households must then return the completed dispute resolution forms to the Support Center by no later than Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Spring 2022 SELECT Class Schedules PPCC SELECT courses begin January 19th. If enrolled in AIMS CC or SNOW College, follow designated start dates. SELECT (off-campus) schedules must match in both the college portal & in Infinite Campus. Any discrepancies will impact course authorization and payment. Any student approved to take off-campus courses must submit a screenshot confirming their college registration AND submit an additional required paperwork. (Example: CEA & PPCC Payment Agreement) Contact assigned academic advisor to verify. If taking courses on PPCC campus in Spring 2022 please check their new COVID testing policy located on the main page of their website. Remember SELECT students MUST register themselves for their off-campus courses. CEC Advisors do NOT have access to college portals, but can offer guidance on how to register. Reminder to SELECT students to check their college email accounts as well. Changes or course cancellations are generally emailed to the students. CECCS advisors are not given SELECT course cancellation information. If this happens, DO contact your CECCS advisor ASAP.

I Matter Campaign offers three free mental health sessions to children in Colorado. Anyone between 12 and 18 can go to the I Matter state website to take a short survey to assess their needs. If the results show they need help, the site will connect them to a provider for a 45-minute appointment in the next two weeks.  Spark the Change is a FREE resource that connects licensed, volunteer clinicians to students and communities in need of mental health response. Referees can get up to 10 sessions for free, as well as pertinent resources. Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention Partnership The mission of Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention Partnership is to unite the community in addressing suicide in the Pikes Peak Region through education, intervention, and postvention. Second Wind Fund is a FREE resource that connects licensed, volunteer clinicians to students at risk for suicide and in need of mental health response. Referees can get up to 12 sessions for free in person or through telehealth, as well as pertinent resources. Mental Health Colorado offers FREE screening tools in English and Spanish for people concerned that the mental health symptoms they are experiencing may be impacting their wellbeing. DISPUTAS DE LA MODALIDAD DE APRENDIZAJE DEL PEBT PARA ABRIL/MAYO DE 2021 Los hogares tienen otra oportunidad de disputar las modalidades de aprendizaje que pueden haber diferido de la modalidad de aprendizaje informada por el distrito solo para los meses de abril de 2021 y mayo de 2021. Este proceso lo inician los hogares que desean impugnar los beneficios de P-EBT para abril y mayo. No se considerarán las disputas por un solo mes de beneficios (es decir, abril O mayo de 2021). El Centro de apoyo de P-EBT emitirá el Formulario de resolución de disputas sobre la modalidad de aprendizaje de abril/mayo. Este formulario no estará disponible antes del martes 15 de enero y debe devolverse antes del martes 15 de febrero.
