Travis Scott with Rainier Digital

Rainier Digital is a marketing consulting company that is currently evolving to reduce friction in marketing and sales operations. This is done by helping with sales technology and being a HubSpot partner. Individuals will purchase software (like HubSpot), but have a hard time working them into their daily workflows or processes – so Travis trains them in that.
Travis started his work in 2009, then in August 2021, he made it full time.
Travis works with many nonprofits and professional services companies. He will then consult their marketing and sales team in Hubspot and operations (processes, workflows, strategy, making sure the right technology is in place). He has always enjoyed teaching people and helping them get better at what they’re doing.
Travis shares that "Getting comfortable with getting uncomfortable, and uncertainty of the future" has been the biggest impact when it comes to Covid. He has so many possibilities ahead of him and is looking forward to the directions that he is going. Last year he even wrote a book!
At the end of 2019, Travis read The Art of Possibility by Benjamin Zander. From this book Travis had two major takeaways that helped him over the past year: 1) that everything is invented, they all had to start somewhere and learn from the beginning. That opened up a world of possibility! 2) Don’t take yourself so damn seriously!
Over the years Travis has learned that there will always be a competitor. He spent many years reflecting on things and realized that at the end of the day, "I’m not just a consultant. I will continue to teach, write and diversify, and figure out how I can positively impact people. Don’t put yourself in a box – don’t create a job for yourself instead of a business."
What has been inspiring Travis: "I have been in a giving and empathy mindset. The art of marketing is not about finding true empathy, but instead getting close to being in someone else’s shoes. Find out what their needs and wants are, what they need for that moment."

A Book recommendation from your Coach:
Story Driven
Every one of us—regardless of where we were born, how we were brought up, how many setbacks we’ve endured or privileges we’ve been afforded—has been conditioned to compete to win. Ironically, the people who create fulfilling lives and careers—the ones we respect, admire and try to emulate—choose an alternative path to success. They have a powerful sense of identity. They don’t worry about differentiating themselves from the competition or obsess about telling the right story. They tell the real story instead. Successful organizations and the people who create, build and lead them don’t feel the need to compete, because they know who they are and they’re not afraid to show us.
How about you?
What do you stand for?
Where are you headed and why?
What’s been the making of you?
What will make your career or company great?
You must be able to answer these questions if you want to build a great company, thriving entrepreneurial venture, or fulfilling career. Whether you’re an individual or you’re representing an organization or a movement, a city or a country, Story Driven gives you a framework to help you consistently articulate, live and lead with your story. This book is about how to stop competing and start succeeding by being who you are, so you can do work you’re proud of and create the future you want to see.
