PAST EVENTS
On Saturday, December 11, 2021, Pets Landing returned to Skid Row for its Howliday Clinic and Fair for People Experiencing Homelessness--breaking all previous attendance records!

The event was held in the Weingart Center parking lot and offered five veterinary stations (each with two vet techs), a Pets’ Landing gear booth with all new harnesses and leashes, info booth with 100 gift bags (loaded with food, supplies, and toys), a Pet Parent Resource booklet, registration for free spay/neuter vouchers, and two mobile grooming vans with spa stations.

Thanks to the hard-working event staff, the team was able to help 91 participants who brought a total of 108 pets for free services (91 dogs, 17 cats).

We are happy to share a beautiful video with drone footage by videographer, John Hwang, which captures the action and spirit of the event. Photographs of the event, created by photographer, Brian Treitler, are also available.

Pets' Landing will return to the Weingart Center parking lot with additional clinics on the following dates:

  • Saturday, March 12, 2022 – Skid Row (10 am – 2 pm)
  • Saturday, June 11, 2022 - Skid Row (10 am – 2 pm)

SUCCESS STORY SPOTLIGHT
MEET SAMMY

Having relocated to Los Angeles four years ago, Sammy was forced back to living on the streets after being discharged from a facility where he no longer met the mental health requirements of that program. In April 2021, Sammy arrived at the Hilda L. Solis Care First Village, operated by the Weingart Center.

This is Sammy's story--one of determination, commitment, and a desire to give back to the community.
