East Wooster/Campbell Hill Roundabout Project
The East Wooster and Campbell Hill Road roundabout project is scheduled to begin on March 20th. Initial work will include replacing the water line within the footprint of the roundabout and then will proceed with the roundabout construction. Access to businesses and one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.

During the week of March 20th, work will begin with the installation of a temporary traffic signal. The outside lanes of East Wooster Street will close during this time.  Once the site prep work is complete, the first phase of the project will begin.

During the week of March 28th, traffic will be shifted to the southside of East Wooster, allowing for one lane of traffic in each direction (eastbound and westbound).  Campbell Hill Road will remain open, and access to Alumni Drive will be restricted to Mercer Road during this phase. This first phase of construction will include the water line replacement and the construction of the new roundabout. Once the waterline portion of the project is complete, work will begin on the roundabout, focusing in the area where the northern two-thirds of the roundabout will be located...Continue Reading Roundabout
Muni-Pal
Help Local Residents

Muni-Pal is a program in cooperation with the Salvation Army to help local citizens. When you donate to Muni-Pal, the money goes directly to the Salvation Army office in Bowling Green to help local citizens in need of assistance to pay their utility bill.  The money does not leave Bowling Green and is used solely to help Bowling Green customers. You can donate a one time contribution or an additional charge can be placed on your monthly bill.

Looking for Leprechaun’s Family Scavenger Hunt

Bowling Green Parks and Recreation is excited to offer a fun and free family activity to enjoy this March. Looking for Leprechauns Family Scavenger Hunt returns to Wintergarden/St. John’s Nature Preserve from March 10, 2023, to March 19, 2023.  Families can print the activity sheet showing all the themed leprechauns hiding along the trail at Wintergarden. Activity sheets can also be picked up by the kiosk outside the Rotary Nature Center.

Families will record their findings as they search along the trail and can then bring their activity sheets to the Bowling Green Community Center to see how they did and pick up their candy prizes.

HRC Seeking
Honor Roll Applications

The City of Bowling Green Human Relations Commission is seeking applications for their quarterly Honor Roll. The Human Relations Commission is looking for local organizations, individuals, or local businesses who are making significant efforts in promoting respect, diversity, and bettering human relations in Bowling Green through educational efforts and advocacy.

The nomination form and past recipients can be reviewed and completed online!

Applications for the winter award of this year are due by April 6th, but forms may be submitted at anytime for future consideration.
Revised Draft Zoning Code Available on City’s Website
The most recent draft of the revised Zoning Code is now available on the city’s website.

Council has scheduled three public meetings to continue their review of the draft updated Zoning Code. A Council work session will take place on March 13, 2023 at 6:00 pm in the Veterans Building, at which time members of Council will discuss possible changes. A public forum will take place on March 23, 2023 at 6:00 pm in the Veterans Building, which will be a time for the public to ask questions and provide feedback on the updated version of the Zoning Code. Council will hold a final work session on March 27, 2023 at 6:00 pm in the Veterans Building. After the March 27th work session, it's expected that a Final Draft of the Zoning Code will be introduced as legislation. The legislation will require a Public Hearing and three readings and a vote from Council before finalized.
Historic Preservation Commission Call for Historic Properties 
The Historic Preservation Commission has chosen to celebrate National Historic Preservation Month by establishing a self-guided walking tour of Bowling Green's historic homes and buildings. Residents are encouraged to sign up their property online by providing basic details about their home or building. Residents who sign up will receive a yard sign indicating "History Lives Here," which will help bring awareness to local preservation and recognize properties included in the self-guided walking tour throughout May.

The City of Bowling Green tax filing due date is April 18, 2023 for 2022 tax returns. Payments of your 2022 tax return and first quarter 2023 estimated tax payment are also due April 18, 2023.

The Bowling Green Income Tax Division requires a copy of your Federal tax return (Form 1040) and all W-2s. If you are claiming Bowling Green withholding or a credit for taxes paid to another municipality, your W-2 needs to report this withholding.

Income tax filings may be turned in using the drop box located outside the building or mailed in. Staff will frequently check the drop box throughout the business day (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm).

Those who are planning to file income tax returns in person are strongly encouraged to do so well in advance of the April 18th deadline in order to avoid long lines. Parking is available in the Library Parking Lot and in City Parking Lot 4.
