LARGO SMALL BUSINESS MONTH
Small businesses are essential to the fabric of Largo’s community – creating jobs, energizing the local economy, and supporting the community’s vibrancy with ingenuity, perseverance, and philanthropy. In recognition of these entrepreneurs, the City of Largo is encouraging residents, businesses, and visitors to recognize and support small businesses during the month of November, known as Largo Small Business Month. This special month was created by the City Commission to promote awareness of the impact local businesses have on the quality of life in Largo. This year's Small Business Month proclamation will be adopted as a ceremonial item on Tuesday, November 1 at the City Commission meeting.

As every year for Small Business Month, there will be no charge for temporary events during the month of November. The moratorium will provide Largo’s businesses an opportunity to host various events such as sidewalk sales and on-site promotional events at no charge to them in anticipation of the holiday shopping season. The Economic Development Division will promote the Moratorium through its internal outreach channels and external partners. Although the $75 fee will not be charged, businesses must still submit the temporary event permit application prior to the event.
