Conference Funding

Faculty members and advanced students in the humanities, social sciences and related fields are invited to apply for co-funding to organize workshops, seminars and conferences that embrace the interdisciplinary and/or comparative study of the history, politics, economics, law, society, culture and the arts of Germany.

Online Workshop Series
Impactful Storytelling for Innovators & Disruptors

Join the DWIH New York for three 90-minutes workshop sessions to learn from Susan Lindner, leading communications expert on innovation storytelling.
 
The workshop sessions are cumulative, and participants should try and attend all three. On May 11th, the participants will focus on Story Mining, May 18th will be about Story Crafting and in the last session on May 25th, they will share their stories.

Green Talents Award 2022

Applications are open for this year’s round of Green Talents – International Forum for High Potentials in Sustainable Development. The Green Talents competition held by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research annually honors 25 outstanding young researchers for their pioneering contributions to greater sustainability. Winners will receive an invitation to the Virtual Science Forum 2022, access to the Green Talents network, and a funded research stay in Germany.

Job Opening at the DWIH San Francisco
Program Officer

The German Center for Research and Innovation San Francisco (DWIH) is currently seeking a well-organized and team-oriented person to join the team as Program Officer. The Program Officer will be responsible for accounting and administration which include developing and managing events, identifying speakers and relevant topics according to the DWIH-agenda, accounts payable and receivable, budget preparation, database management, and general office management and administrative duties.

Job Opening at the DWIH San Francisco
Communications Officer

The German Center for Research and Innovation San Francisco (DWIH) is currently seeking a well-organized and team-oriented person to join the team as a Communications Officer. The Communications Officer will work closely with the Executive Director and Program Officer of DWIH and will be responsible for various science communication, marketing, and outreach functions. This includes managing the DWIH SF brand, overseeing its communications platforms across web, social, and email marketing, and creating content.
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

The DWIH Celebrates Its New San Francisco Office
The German Center for Research and Innovation is now on the West Coast! The DWIH SF opened its doors this winter at its brand new office in the German Hub, which also hosts DAAD's San Francisco Information Center and several other German entities. Last week, the DWIH SF celebrated its opening with a night of jazz and conversation at the Exploratorium San Francisco.
