The UCGHI Women’s Health Gender & Empowerment Center of Expertise is thrilled to announce the new co-Director, Ushma Upadhyay, PhD, MPH! Ushma leads one of the UCGHI WHGE COE signature projects, the California Home Abortion by Telehealth (CHAT) Study. Check out the first publication.
This upcoming academic year, the UCGHI Planetary Health Center of Expertise’s signature project, Latinx and the Environment Initiative led by Federico Castillo, PhD, will expand it’s activities and reach across the UC system, including the first UC System Wide Latinx and the Environment Student Research Conference which will showcase research from undergraduate and graduate students and UC faculty.

This Student Assistant position is open to UCGHI student ambassador alumni who are current undergraduate, graduate, or professional students.

UCGHI is recruiting two new student assistants across all 10 UC campuses and partnering Historically Black College and University (HBCU), Charles R. Drew University, for its 2021-2022 Student Ambassador Program! This student assistant position will support the two program tracks in collaboration with UCGHI Centers of Expertise: 1) Planetary Health and 2) Women’s Health, Gender and Empowerment.
