Friends of Nazareth (FON) helps NBS enrich and enlarge its capacity for ministry. FON is strategic in how it works with NBS. Through FON's 7 Initiatives, we remain faithful to accomplish the work of the Gospel as we partner with NBS.
FON is thankful to each of you who support FON. God has used your prayers, your service, and your giving to achieve great things for NBS!
Thank you for praying for the administrative team and teachers as they work together to accomplish the goals set before them for this school year.
We have much to be grateful for!
The Ministry of Education made its annual visit to NBS to hear the school's vision, accomplishments, and plans for the 2021-2022 school year. The administration and teachers from the Primary School and High School shared with the Ministry of Education team. The staff shared about the important connection that FON has at NBS and expressed its gratitude to FON during the meeting.
The NBS administration and staff team were encouraged and challenged by the visit from the MOE. As a small gift of gratitude to the MOE, NBS gave each attendee a coffee mug with the Fruits of the Spirit printed on them. The team explained to the MOE the importance of the Fruits of the Spirit in the NBS school environment and shared how they equip NBS' teachers and students to understand and model how to be salt and light in the community.

Summer Programs for Students
Evangelical Programs for students and families is the first of the FON Initiatives. NBS students have missed summer camps with FON. The students pictured above have grown up and moved from VBS to the Potter's Wheel overnight program. Please join us in prayer as FON and NBS plan for the 2022. We are thankful for all those who have prayed, served, and given to summer programs. We would love to have you join one of the FON summer teams!

Potter's Wheel Youth Center
Potter's Wheel Youth Center for Discipleship is another of FON's 7 Initiatives. NBS thanks FON for sponsoring the PWYC. New classes have begun for the 2021-22 school year. The students are learning cycling, chess, and a variety of sport games.
PWYC students, in addition to skills training, hear valuable Biblical life lessons in a safe, caring environment.

New Displays Around Campus
Over the summer, NBS was able to complete some much-needed projects on campus. Thanks to the generous donations of supporters, one of the projects was to purchase display cabinets for the many awards. NBS placed the cabinets outside the High School science labs.
The display allows students to see the accomplishments of their fellow students as it fosters a sense of community and motivates students in learning.
Academic, safety, and spiritual enrichment is another important initiative for FON and we are thrilled with these new additions!
NBS and FON believe in leadership training for staff and students as another primary initiative. We are thankful this is a strong connection point between FON and NBS.
Primary students recently participated in a Know Your Community program. They walked through Nazareth to see and learn about things within their community. On these adventures, teachers and local leaders shared with the students.
High School media students had the opportunity to visit a newspaper to learn about written and electronic journalism. NBS looks for opportunities to expose its students to professional leaders within the community.
As part of FONs Initiative to develop global partnerships, Fadi Abu Khadra, an NBS graduate attends the University of North Alabama. Go Lions!
Fadi is a junior majoring in business. He is an excellent student and represents NBS well at UNA. We are grateful for the opportunity FON has to partner with USA schools.
We greatly appreciate the special people who are FON supporters like Gerald and Janet Johnson. They are Fadi's host family while he is at UNA. Thank you, Janet and Gerald, for treating Fadi like he is one of your own!
The Family and Children's Ministry FON Initiative supports spiritual growth within the school. Third graders recently planted seeds, watered them, and waited patiently to watch them grow.
We are thankful for teachers and staff that foster strong academic learning as well as spiritual learning to grow the hearts and minds of the students.
Building the rising generations.....Glorifying Christ through distinctive education.

Although NBS is still dealing with Covid protocols, it is working hard to help students readjust to being back at school. NBS is strategically planning events to help students heal from the time of isolation away from friends and school. The pictures below show some of the special enrichment activities that have included class trips, music lessons, games at school, as well as Peace and Violence Awareness teaching. We are excited about how God is leading NBS to help students readjust in healthy ways!
