Letter from the Principal
Trivium has been busy with all kinds of activities, and we are rushing to the finish line with style. The silent auction and gala were a huge success, and not only did we make a lot of money for the school, but we also had a wonderful evening with our Trivium family. We are grateful for Christina Buehlman, Amber Massey, Erica Tuscano, Mary Stevens, Marie Davis, Patricia Morales, and an army of others to make it all happen.

The golf tournament was also a big fundraising event for our athletic program. There were 120 golfers playing, including some of our students. It was a great day for golf with beautiful weather and a great crowd of Trivium golfers.

All grade levels have been hard at work and doing great things.  Thanks to Melissa Ramirez for getting our garden planted and growing.  Several grade levels planted several varieties, and Ms. Peg and our 4-H club also contributed.  We plan to harvest and enjoy the fruits of their labor.  For now, they can watch what they planted grow, and that is rewarding also.  Susan Pechacek oversees our new 4-H Club, and they are also tending to our three chickens who live a life of luxury in their coop.

Our athletic teams are playing and doing well in all areas.  Coach Zea and her team work hard to keep up with practices, games, and schedules.    There will be an all-call for parent help for Field Day, which is the big end of the year event. Our elementary students love to play all the games and always go home soaked in water from head to toe. Our parent volunteers help man the activities, and it is one of the best days of the year.

For the first time, our high school girls are hosting a Powder Puff football game we hope will become another tradition.  The game will be on our football field at 7 p.m. on May 13. Admission is free, but there will be concessions. Bring your family, and enjoy the fun!

We appreciate our families for pitching in and helping us in so many ways. We would not be able to do all we do without our PIE organization and parent volunteers.

Proud to be a Knight,

Curriculum Highlights

They got to perform their favorite poem for the class and their parents in a cafe style setting, coffee and donuts included! We're so proud of their hard work and beautiful poetry.

2022 State Track Meet
The Trivium Academy Middle and High School Track teams had 6 members who qualified to run in the State Track Meet in Round Rock this weekend. All 6 state qualifying athletes performed well and made us proud! We now have 2 State Champion Track Athletes! Liliana Robinson won State in the 200 meters in middle school last year and backed it up with a win this year in the high school division as a freshman which is remarkable. Liliana also finished 4th in the 100 meters. Lilyanna Merchant won State in the long jump and also finished 4th in the 200 meters, Bella Sosa won 3rd in the 800 meters, and Samaya Nixon finished 3rd in the long jump. Christian Holland finished 4th in the 400 and the 800 meters, and Ryan Gerard finished 5th in the 1600 meters.
Congratulations to all of our track team members for an outstanding track season.
The Showcase
Elementary Music
Elementary Music has entertained us with many concerts this year, each one with a special theme. We're very proud of the hard work the students put in with their fabulous teacher, Ms. Gallegos. The last, but not least, concert is coming up on May 17 for our kindergarteners!
Knight Light

Attendance Reminders
To report an absence please email a parent note or medical excuse for each absence to [email protected]. Include the student’s name, grade, and homeroom teacher.  You may attach doctor’s notes to the email or turn them in to the front office. After three parent notes, our school policy requires a medical note to excuse an absence.

Elementary (K-6th) Attendance is taken daily at 9:20am.

Secondary (7-11) Attendance is taken at the beginning of each class period. Official attendance for the day is taken at 9:30.

If your student is marked absent an auto generated email is sent to the parent if that option has been selected in the Parent Portal. These emails will always state that the absence is unexcused. Also, students who are quarantining due to COVID-19 will be marked absent by the homeroom teacher. The attendance office will later code the absence appropriately based on the documentation received.

As a public school, we must follow Texas Education Code (TEC) 25.092 which states that a student may not be given credit for a class unless the student is in attendance for at least 90% of the days the class is offered. That means a student may only be absent seven times in the fall semester and nine times in the spring semester to retain credit for the grade level. If your child has absences beyond those numbers, you may be asked to appear before the attendance committee. The attendance committee may give class credit to a student who is in attendance less than the number of days required because of extenuating circumstances.

We take the responsibility of educating our students seriously, and excessive absences can hinder a student’s progress and the school’s ability to provide for his/her educational needs. We do understand that children get ill, and we certainly understand when they are too sick to come to school. We appreciate your help in making sure your child is present for school at all other times.
