Dear stakeholder,
We appreciate the participation in the California Public Utilities Commission’s (CPUC's) Last Mile Federal Funding Account (FFA) program. We've had an incredible response, receiving 483 applications totaling $4.6 billion from 63 unique entities, covering every county in the state. This unprecedented amount of interest in a CPUC grant program demonstrates the opportunity this program provides to catalyze new high-speed broadband infrastructure across the state.
About the Federal Funding Account
The Federal Funding Account, established in accordance with Senate Bill 156 (Chapter 112, Statutes of 2021), is a vital part of our $2 billion grant program.

Coming Next: October 23, 2023 – The CPUC will publish project summaries and display them on the Federal Funding Account Public Map.
Additionally, the CPUC will start a 28-day Objection Process on the same day. More information, including timing, how to object, and how to respond to an objection, will be available on the Last Mile Federal Funding Account webpage under the Objection Process heading.
Thank you,
Federal Funding Account Team
