June rains have wrecked havoc with this summer’s growing season. To quote the organic farmer at Stout Oak Farm in Brentwood, “ we’ve been waiting and waiting, even encouraging them by whispering sweet nothings in their little tomato ears and wondering if they would ever ripen!”
Then suddenly the sun shone brightly and it’s “Tomato Time” and a bountiful harvest!
