Downtown Shenandoah, Inc. is celebrating our 20th year serving the community. What better way to shine the spotlight on our nonprofit organization than by putting the shovel in the ground for The Center For Education, Business & Arts (CEBA).
Phase One First on The Agenda
Everything is now in place to begin Phase One that wil include building the entire shell for the building. This phase includes the commercial kitchen, Penn State classroom, and half of the co- working spaces. The second phase will include the event center with catering kitchen, and remaining co working spaces. As money is raised and pending grants are approved, the second phase will begin.
Design Inspired by Coal Breakers
The exterior design of the buidling will resemble a coal breaker.paying tribute to our Anthracite coal history. As a matter of fact, thid is the perfect time to visit the Pennsylvania Anthracite Miners Memorial in Shenandoah. If you haven't seen this amazing sculpture, "dedicated to the men who worked in endless night", head up to Shenadoah, take a look at the future CEBA site and continue to the Miners Memorial. CEBA is located on North Main and the Memorial is located at the intersection of East Washington St. and Ringtown Blvd. There are naming bricks available for both locations available for purchase at DSI...great gift ideas and a perfect way to show your support!
Every Dollar Counts...Your Dollar Counts
We've come a long way, that's true, but there is still more work to do. Keep DSI and CEBA in mind when you are looking for a nonprofit that truly makes a difference in our community. Every dollar counts...your dollar counts.
