Theatre Salina is proud to host the works of local artists on display in our lobby for the run of each production. This Spotlight is a great way for you to get to know them and the work they have on display.

Randy Clark's work will be on display during the run of

INTO THE BREECHES.

Meet Randy

"In my retirement since 2005, I've used glorious outdoor sights etched in my memory for some of my work. The arts have inspired me to be more aware of everything that surrounds me and the beauty that is in all things."

"The art I create combines realism and the abstract. The process leads to the creation of the work. Through monotypes and mixed media, I create images with shapes and colors that evoke a perception in the eye of the beholder, who then becomes part of the process."

The images of the paintings above do not truly capture the depth of his work. More reason to come and see it in person!

Randy is a mixed media abstract artist who names his pieces after the number of paintings he has done. When we asked him about why he named them after the sequence, he said that he didn't want to influence his audience. He wants each painting to be uniquely received by the viewer and let them find their own meaning in the work.
