Avoiding Future Closures
Good Afternoon C-F Families,

It's been well over a month since our last closure to in-person learning but we're again seeing warning signs of increased absenteeism among both students and staff members. Regional and state-wide numbers of positive coronavirus cases are also rising fast.

Last year districts across the state closed to in-person instruction between Thanksgiving and New Years to stop spread within schools. We are doing everything in our power to avoid any closures this year but we must have your help.

Please play it safe and keep students home even if they're just a little sick. Small coughs, sore throats and nausea count. We know it's inconvenient to keep students home on school days but given the stakes we are up against, we're asking everyone to be extra cautious throughout the holiday season.

You can also help spread the word that C-F is hiring substitute teachers at the new significantly higher rate of pay of $110 per day. Interested individuals can begin the application process here or email us at office@cfss.org for more information.

Thank you,
Kevin

Reading is Fun
New Curriculum Materials

With recent COVID relief funds, CF has been fortunate to be able to purchase new curriculum materials in many subject areas. One of the purchases for this school year has been new materials for Language Arts in grades K-12. At the elementary end, this means new reading books, new books for small group reading, new technology, and many other new supplemental components. We are very excited about having the opportunity to have new and updated materials that will keep our students engaged and excited about reading!

Please see the link provided to check on an overview of our new curriculum materials for Language Arts entitled WONDERS.
