CDC Releases State of Vaccine Confidence Report

The CDC recently released the latest State of Vaccine Confidence Insights Report, which highlights major themes influencing general vaccine confidence and uptake among rural populations in the US. The report also offers strategies for health care providers to improve vaccine confidence and demand. CDC also posts a weekly update on respiratory viruses. This week, the site provides a link to the CDC's Immunization Overview for the Fall and Winter Season that includes the latest recommendations for influenza, COVID-19, and RSV vaccines. The IPRO Resource Library is another excellent source of updated vaccine resources. The Adult Immunization Record helps adults track the vaccines they have received and is part of our LINKS Immunization Portfolio.

COVID-19 ED Visits and Hospitalizations Decline

The greatest number of COVID-19 cases continue to be seen in adults 75 years and older.

Long-term care facilities are seeing an increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases, reporting 8.9/1000 cases for the week ending October 1.

Vaccination remains a vital tool to protect public health. One dose of the updated vaccine is required for individuals to be considered up to date.
