IN-PERSON WORSHIP

Sunday worship services are held in our sanctuary at 9am and 11am. You can prepare for worship by listening to the setlist on Spotify!

Masks are optional. There is a marked "masks required" section in the front right of the sanctuary for those who don't wish to sit with unmasked attendees.

ONLINE WORSHIP

You can join us virtually via our live-streamed service at 9am on YouTube or Facebook, or watch the service on either platform later!

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Newborn-Preschool: Class is available during both services. Upon drop-off, parents/guardians and children receive wristbands with matching numbers. Parents supply their wristband to pick up their child at the conclusion of the service.

Kindergarten-Grade 5: All kids will begin in the sanctuary for worship with their parent/guardian and will be dismissed to the CE Room after the Congregational Prayer.

Grades 6-12: All youth will begin in the sanctuary for worship with their parent/guardian and will be dismissed to the Large Youth Room after the Congregational Prayer.

FALL FINANCE UPDATE

Our HBIC Treasurer, Rodney Sauder, provided us with a Fall Finance Update! This includes information about revenue and expenses as of October 31, 2022 and our current deficit. He also gives helpful tips about how you can get involved in serving with the church in various ways.

Check out the video by clicking here.

We want to thank you for giving to the ministries of the church. This is such a special and important way that we get to participate in building the Kingdom of God together in our city and beyond!

FINAL MISSIONS OFFERING UDPATE

Each year, we take a special Missions Offering, which is used primarily to provide a love gift to all of the missionaries sent out from our church, with a small portion given to BIC World Missions.

Together, we gave a total of $15,577.16 this year! Thank you for your generous support of our missionaries. Please continue to join us in praying for them and their important work across the world!

GROCERY GIFT CARDS

Did you know that you can purchase gift cards for Giant, Weis and Karns through HBIC and we get 5% of the value of the card? This Christmas season, consider purchasing gift cards for your loved ones! There will be a table in the lobby in between worship services on December 4, 11 and 18 where you can purchase $25, $50, and $100 cards at their face value. BIBLE IN COMMUNITY

ADVENT STUDY

Our Sunday evening "Bible in Community" group will be getting together upstairs at the church on the first three Sunday evenings in December (4, 11 and 18) at 6:30pm to do an Advent study. You're invited to drop in and read the Bible together in community as we look at the nativity stories and the incarnation of Jesus in more depth!

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

CHRISTMAS PARTY

Our annual Women's Ministry Christmas Party is back! Women ages 18 and older are invited to celebrate the birth of our Savior together next Saturday, December 10 at 4pm. Bring your favorite appetizer or cookie to share. We will also exchange white elephant gifts (a recycled gift or a new gift worth $10 or under). Women's ministry will provide a hot chocolate bar! Childcare will not be provided. Please sign up here if you plan to attend!

BLOOD DRIVE AT HBIC

On Friday, December 16, from 10am to 3pm, the Red Cross will be hosting a Blood Drive in the CE Room at HBIC. There is currently a historic shortage of blood donors, and donating is a wonderful way to show compassion and a giving spirit at this special time of year!

Click here to access the Red Cross registration site, or call 1 (800) 733-2767 to make an appointment.

COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS

We work together every Christmas to bless families in our community with gifts for over 350 children. This year, we invite you to join us in serving in the following ways:

Community Christmas toy drive:

Donate gifts for children ages 2-15 (ideas linked here) between November 27 and December 16 in the box in the lobby!

Community Christmas outreach event:

We need volunteers to serve on Friday, December 16, 5-8pm, bringing gifts out of storage and organizing them on tables. We also need volunteers on Saturday, December 17, 8:30am-1pm, for our outreach event (greeting families and helping them "shop" for gifts). If you can help, please sign up here or at the info desks in the Sanctuary.

STAFF CHRISTMAS LOVE GIFT

Leading worship. Teaching. Crafting emails. Coordinating events. Counseling. Organizing volunteers. Drafting sermons. Managing building repairs. Praying. The pastors and staff share their gifts and serve our faith community tirelessly in so many ways throughout the year. During this season of giving and celebration of Christ's birth, the HBIC board invites you to join us in saying "Thank You" to the pastors and staff through a monetary Love Gift.

  • Please note all gifts as "Christmas Love Gift"
  • Gifts can be given through the offering box (envelopes labeled "staff gift" are available near the box), mailed, or donated online
  • Gifts are considered tax deductible
  • Gifts will be received until December 18th

Thank you for showing your appreciation of our staff and pastors in this way.

Blessings,

Rachel Lewis, Church Board Chair
