"Sharing Christ's Love with the Greatest Number of People"
Redeemer Lutheran Church

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!

Yesterday was Veterans Day and we offer prayers of thanksgiving for all the men and women who serve in the various branches of our Armed Forces. This year that includes our members and Pastor Josh who is completing all his paperwork to become an Air Force chaplain.
Help Needed ASAP - Afghan Family Set Up
Join us as we welcome a new Afghan family to the community. We need items to be donated for their new home and volunteers to help pick-up and deliver furniture on Saturday, November 20. A U-Haul will be rented for the day. Volunteers are also needed to help setup the apartment on the same day. Sign up here if you can assist in any area.

A driver is needed between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm and Volunteers are needed at the house between 10 am and 2 pm. Lunch will be provided.

We request new or gently used items and furniture sizes appropriate for an apartment. The family has 3 young children under the age of 5, including a baby, so family friendly/safe/durable items are needed. Items can be dropped off by next Friday, November 19, to the Durman family (2 blocks from Redeemer) or contact Joan Durman to arrange furniture pick up. See sign up for address and other details.

Questions can be directed to Deanna Heier and Joan Durman.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Prayer Concerns
This week I personally share a prayer of thanksgiving. On Monday a car hit me while I was crossing a street just a block from my home. It was a beautiful day, and I went for a walk in my neighborhood. The impact of the hit threw me onto the hood of the car before I slid to the road. I am bruised and sore, but I have no concussion and no broken bones for which I am grateful. I am also grateful for the Good Samaritan who stopped and called 911 and stayed with me until help came to the scene. The bruises and abrasions will heal in due time. I am just incredibly thankful and I am reminded again how each day counts and each day is a gift.
