A landslide occurred yesterday on Westside Road above Aspen Shores just north of Elliot Road. Our fire department responded to a call shortly before 2pm to "assist with traffic for power line down across Westside Road." The slide is most likely the result of saturated ground due to Spring run off conditions. Nine residences have been evacuated from the Killiney Beach area. Watch the video here https://youtu.be/0OLAqvj4e2s.              Central Okanagan Transportation Plan - Catch a Bus to Kelowna?
The regional transportation decisions we make today will impact our future economy and quality of life. The Regional District of Central Okanagan is working with other local governments in developing the first region-wide transportation plan. The Regional Transportation Plan will help shape the future of the Central Okanagan Region by identifying the transportation investments that will be needed over the next 20 years.

You’re invited to get involved in "Connecting our Region" by completing a survey.  Paper copies of the survey will be available until May 6/18 at the Killiney Beach Community Hall. If you’d rather, you can tell us what matters to you by completing the same survey online anytime until May 7/18 at https://www.smarttrips.ca/about/stpco/regional-transportation-plan . That’s also where you will find information about the transportation management plan.

Thanks to Marsali MacIver and Audrey Turcotte for organizing and hosting the Community Garage Sale at the Killiney Hall yesterday. Thanks also to Jason Satterthwaite and Victoria Schneider for manning the BBQ. $140 from table rentals and food sales was turned over to the NWCA for future community events. It was fun!

Westside Post in Stands May 1st - Thanks Katherine!
