We're now just one month until the 2023 B.A.A. Half Marathon, presented by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund! We can't wait to race 13.1 miles together along Boston's Emerald Necklace Park system on November 12, 2023.

This week's participant newsletter features a replay of the second B.A.A. Half Marathon Training Clinic, information on transportation to the start line, training tips, messages from our sponsors, and more!

EVENT INFO

The B.A.A. Half Marathon is a family-friendly event for athletes and spectators of all ages. Free youth events will be offered on race morning within Franklin Park, including races and medals for all.

Transportation Information for the

2023 B.A.A. Half Marathon

There is no parking within Franklin Park on race day. The recommended way to get to the start line in Franklin Park is to use the B.A.A. shuttle service from Copley Square or Forest Hills MBTA stop.

The B.A.A. will provide free, round-trip shuttles from Copley Square in downtown Boston to the start/finish area in Franklin Park from 5:30 a.m. – 7:15 a.m.

Runners utilizing ride shares or personal vehicles should be dropped off at Walnut Avenue and School Street near Franklin Park.

For parking near the shuttle bus location, we suggested the 100 Clarendon Street Garage, which is just two blocks away from the shuttle pick-up at Copley Square.

We are proud to share that Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, our presenting sponsor and exclusive charity partner for the B.A.A. Half Marathon, has recruited its largest team in the history of their 20-year participation to run 13.1 miles through Franklin Park with us on November 12.

Despite incredible scientific progress to date, 600,000 Americans and 8 million people around the world are dying of cancer each year. The 13.1-mile course runs along the picturesque Emerald Necklace park system, past the Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Pond, and Franklin Park Zoo, before finishing at White Stadium in Franklin Park.

After feedback from a member of our run community we have updated our Half Marathon course map to include the neighborhoods of Roxbury and Dorchester which surround Franklin Park. We have made this addition after the omission was brought to our attention and we want to ensure everyone is included.

As members of the communities of all Boston neighborhoods the B.A.A. is committed to listening, uplifting, and supporting all runners and communities in Greater Boston.
