Boosterthon Update and Thank You

Thank you to our committee chairs, Tonya Syed and Laura Turek, for making this a fundraising success and a memorable experience for our children. Thank you, also, to our volunteers and to all of you for supporting Pinecrest Elementary School PTA through the Pinecrest DanceFit. 

While final numbers still aren't in, we do know that we surpassed our goal of raising $100,000. Your generosity allows us to support our children with funds for school enhancement and more student, teacher, and family programming, like our upcoming Trunk or Treat.  There is no school community that compares to our Pinecrest family!

Trunk or Treat Updates

TICKETS

PTA had 900 tickets for trunk or treat! Due to some confusion, some families obtained more tickets than they will need. We are working on refunding and adjusting all the additional tickets. We will open available slots this Sunday, October 7th at 8 pm. CAR PARTICPANT

WE NEED CARS!

We invite families to decorate their vehicles along our trick or treat path. On the date of the event, cars will park in the Teacher Parking Lot and continued path along SW 102nd Street. All vehicles must arrive between 4:15 - 4:45pm and must be decorated by 5:15pm. Students will begin trick or treating at 5:30pm. The final session will end at 8:30pm, at which point, all vehicles may remove their decorations and exit. Vehicle participants are encouraged to bring candy; however, if you need assistance with purchasing candy, PTA can and will help.

VOLUNTEER WITH OUR COMMITTEE

In order to make this a successful event, we need your help. Please consider volunteering to help set up, work the event, or take down/clean up after the event. We are also accepting donations of Halloween decorations and candy.

Have you met our 2023 Trunk or Treat Candy Monster yet? He's hanging out in the Welcome Center and looking to be fed! Jack, our monster, graciously accepts individually wrapped, nut free candy. We promise he won't bite!

Lunch Committee

You have one more opportunity to join our wonderful lunch committee. The final training of the year will take place on

Tuesday, October 10th at 9am in the Media Center.

Cortada Science Academy



The Cortada Science Art Academy at Pinecrest Gardens is starting on October 16^th. 

There are Information Sessions on Thursday 10/5 and Sunday 10/8.

Through the fusion of art and science, students in this after school program gain a deeper understanding of our world, develop leadership skills, and actively contribute to environmental conservation. These young changemakers are led through hands-on projects and outdoor adventures as they discover how their creativity and empathy can help protect Florida's ecosystems.

 Scholarships are available.
