African Community Leaders Luncheon Success!

This past weekend, Mission Africa hosted its 3rd Annual African Community Leaders Luncheon, bringing together a dynamic group of leaders committed to serving and uplifting our communities. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as we engaged in discussions and valuable networking. Attendees exchanged ideas, built new relationships, and explored ways to navigate common challenges in their work. A highlight of the event was the panel discussion, which sparked insightful conversations on how organizations can strengthen their impact.

The presence of Pastor Gordon Banks as our keynote speaker added a powerful message, encouraging attendees to think boldly about their roles in shaping their communities. Reflecting on this incredible event, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mission Africa’s Board, staff, and volunteers, whose dedication made it all possible. We are especially grateful to the attendees who brought their energy, passion, and commitment to making a difference. The conversations and connections formed will undoubtedly lead to new partnerships and initiatives that will benefit our communities for years to come.

See the Impact of Our Digital Navigation Program!

Over the past three years, hundreds of learners of all ages have walked through our Mission Africa offices or joined our online classes to enhance their digital literacy skills. This year alone, we’ve seen remarkable transformations—individuals who once struggled with technology have become computer literate, while returning learners have advanced their skills to new heights. Many have progressed from basic digital proficiency to mastering intermediate and advanced skills, such as conducting data analysis in SQL, creating pivot tables and data visualizations in Excel, designing animated slides in PowerPoint, learning cybersecurity best practices, and understanding digital footprints and cookies.

We are thrilled to share our newly released, beautifully crafted video which visually captures our program's impact and our learners' incredible progress.

We are offering free Digital Navigation classes to African immigrant families and refugees. Additionally, our invitation extends to all community members eager to enhance their digital skills. Translation can be arranged for non-native English speakers, and laptops are provided for in-person classes.
