Dr. David Flanigan, our incoming 2022 Chapter President, will discuss how over the last two years, the world has had to adapt to different work and life practices during the pandemic. As we continue to operate, a few perspectives are shared on systems engineering activities as we look at the coming year with an emphasis on the Chesapeake Chapter.

Upcoming Events to Consider
Disagreement exists among professionals about remediation of control system vulnerability due to discrepancies in engineering practice, paradigms, processes, and culture. Quantification of agreement among professionals in control system Operational Technology (OT) versus business enterprise Information Technology (IT) is needed to increase visibility into areas where divergence arises. This presentation introduces a model and methodology for measuring multi-concern assurance through statistical uncertainty analysis of Likert semantic differential scales.
Are you currently working on an organizational process improvement but do not know where to begin? Or perhaps you are considering a design thinking approach in your process improvement effort but do not know which techniques to use?

Ms. Castro-Diaz will share her story about how she embarked her biggest career challenge when as a DoD Systems Engineer she joined NASA for a 12-month assignment to guide an organization through a process improvement change initiative.
