Changes at LCCC as a Long-time Staff Member Closes this Chapter
|
|
After 21 years at LCCC in various capacities, though mostly in the Development and Marketing Dept., I will be retiring on June 1, 2022. I would like to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you for all of your tremendous love, support and prayers to all of us at LCCC as we, together with you, work to care for God's most vulnerable children - young and old. It is because of each of you that LCCC has remained a critical resource and service here in our county and helped many thousands of men, women and children.
The best part of my job has been to meet many of you; to work alongside you, our Board members and my coworkers; to watch clients and their families move from sadness, fear, feeling overwhelmed, etc. to a light in their eyes and smiles on their faces again as they work to regain their lives and find healing help. Each day, watching the growth of those who walk through our doors shows me the work of Christ here on earth. I feel blessed to have had the honor to work at LCCC and play a small part in this. I thank God for allowing me this opportunity and will treasure this time.
Through the 21 years, I have watched LCCC grow to meet our county's needs from having 4 programs to now having 12. It has been an exciting ride and I know that because of each of you and my amazing co-workers and Board members, LCCC will continue to be a major asset in our county.
I hope you'll allow me one more time to tell you all that we cannot do this incredible work in our community without each and every one of you - your prayers, volunteer efforts, referrals or sharing our info., donations and support. LCCC is a non-profit and cannot provide affordable or no-cost programming to vulnerable men, women and children without you. Though our community has affluence, we most definitely have poverty-level individuals and families and those with two working parents barely making enough to meet their basic needs and one crisis away from becoming indigent. Please keep them in your prayers and continue to support them as you can. Our county is stronger, healthier and safer when we work together to care for each other.
I'm so very excited to say that we have hired an amazing woman, a life-long resident, Ryan Skomial, as the new Director of Development and Marketing. I know that you will enjoy meeting Ryan and working with her and our Marketing/Development Coordinator, Gudrun Patton, in the coming years. Ryan will be a great addition to the LCCC staff. Look for more about Ryan in our June e-newsletter.
Wishing each of you all the best and look forward to seeing you in the community as I continue to volunteer at numerous favorite activities. Thank you for making these last 21 years a tremendous blessing in my life.
God Bless,
Julie Amman, Director of Development/Marketing
