Hello CWNY Members and Friends,
As this year is coming to an end, we would like to reflect on how women have been facing numerous challenges, such as how the employment rate of women dipped to the "lowest it has been since 1988 and stress affected their physical and mental health" (National Women's Law Center); yet women proved their incredible strengths and have shown true resilience by participating in government as voters and as elected officials, balancing careers and childcare, and coming together in creative ways to help their communities.
CWNY pivoted our programs and services to continue to support women in various aspects of their lives that were affected by the pandemic. We have helped women to navigate a complex system when in crisis and offered financial literacy and career skills workshops.
Entering the new year, we look forward to continuing to empower women to reach their full potential by providing skills, information, and support they need to address economic, emotional, and other difficulties through our current as well as new programs and services.
Our next Career Series workshop will be "Civil Service 101" on Thursday, January 6th at 12 PM.
Our next Financial Literacy workshop will be on Wednesday, January 19th at 8 PM with a "Preview of 2021 Income Tax Returns - Including the Advance Child Tax Credit."
Thank you for your continued support!
We wish you and your loved ones Happy Holidays and a Happy, Healthy New Year!
