April 4, 2025

In the Parable of the Persistent Widow, Jesus shows us the power of perseverance in prayer. God isn’t annoyed by our repeated prayers; He delights in our trust and faithfulness. Persistence isn’t about changing God’s mind but about deepening our dependence on Him. This week in our series, we’ll explore how remaining steadfast in prayer reminds us of God’s justice and encourages us to trust His perfect timing.

Trevor Miller, Faith Formation Pastor, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Michael Turner, Senior Pastor, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

Membership Class

Whether you are seeking information about the church or ready to join, you are invited to attend our Membership Class this Sunday, April 6 from 3 PM to 5 PM in Room 820. Those who wish to join the church will have that opportunity at the end of the class, and those not ready yet can return to a future class for additional information and/or join. You can register at mthorebchurch.org/membership or through our Mt. Horeb app.

Baptism Class

Our Baptism Class for all ages will be held this Sunday, April 6 at 5 PM in Room 820. As Global Methodists, we believe that baptism is an outward sign of an inward work that God is doing in our lives and because God’s work is perfect, we believe in only being baptized once. If you or your child is someone who has never been baptized or if you’d like to learn more about baptism, please plan to attend. Once you attend, you can choose from one of our scheduled in-service baptism dates. Register at mthorebchurch.org/baptism.

Easter at Mt. Horeb

Make plans to join us for Easter week here at Mt. Horeb. Our Maundy Thursday service will be on April 17 at 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary and we will have our Easter services on April 20. Please note the time differences of these services. We hope that this will help accommodate our growing services for this Sunday. We know this will be a wonderful celebration of our risen Lord that you won’t want to miss! For more information visit mthorebchurch.org/easter.
