Auction Success - Thank you!

The Vamos a Volar auction this past weekend was a huge success! Between the online silent auction and the in person event, we've raised at least $60,000 to help support PTA missions and programs, which in turn help support all of the students, teachers, and staff. Thank you to everyone who participated, both online and in person. And thank you to all of our event sponsors and donors, as well as volunteers, who helped make this event happen. We can't wait to see everyone again at next year's auction where we'll celebrate 40 years of Puesta del Sol!

Remember to sign up for STEM Fair and pick up your Trifold

Registration is now open for the STEM Fair! It’s time to think about your project, the materials and most importantly register!! If you need a trifold you can pick up after school on the following days by the front office:

Tuesday. April 15 at school dismissal
Thursday, April 17 at school dismissal

We have a great showcase lined up this year: Robotics, Coding, Science and Pinewood Derby. We can't wait to see you.

Remember that the STEM fair is open to all students from K to 5. Registration to the STEM fair is required to participate. All families and friends are welcome to join us to check out all the projects and our showcase!

Passport Check

April 29th, 1:00-3:30pm

STEAM room

Passport Check Days are fast-paced and fun-filled and a great way to volunteer at school. As a checker, you'll have the opportunity to work with students from first to fifth grade quizzing them on their geography knowledge. Our volunteers take turns bringing snacks for the teachers and volunteers. Sign up here.

Please indicate in the comments section if you need to come late or leave early, or are a first time checker. If you sign-up for a slot and can't come to check, please take yourself off the sign-up or let us know at passport@puestadelsolpta.org. Thanks!

Cross-Cultural Event: Mercados del Mundo

(Markets Around the World)

Saturday, May 3, 3-5 pm

Puesta del Sol - Teatro & Patio

Join us for the final event in our series of Cross-Cultural Events this year! 4th and 5th grade Leadership Club students will transform the Teatro and outdoor space into a lively marketplace. Learn about cultural traditions and experience food, music, crafts and more. There are no costs at the event and all are welcome!

$40 per ticket. Deadline to order is 4/23/25 but order early to guarantee your seats with the group! Order tickets here.

Flag Procession at the International Art Festival- Sign up!

Wednesday, May 21, 2025, 5pm

The International Art Festival includes a flag procession representing the many cultures and heritages of our community. Students in grades K-5 are invited to join in the flag parade where they will walk a short route inside the school carrying a flag connected to their heritage at the start of the festival.
