The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021
Small businesses, both home-based and brick and mortar, may apply for the grant. To qualify a business must have a valid Seminole County Tax Receipt. Businesses that demonstrate a loss of income for April - June 2021 or July September - 2021, as compared to the pre-pandemic quarter of January - March 2020 are eligible for this program. At this time, the program is not accepting applications for businesses that cannot demonstrate a loss outside of this time frame.

Tree Trimming 4th Quarter
Crews will be pruning trees along electric lines through the 4th quarter of 2021. The attached map shows the lines planned for trimming.
As a reminder, debris resulting from storm damage or other events unrelated to our maintenance activities is the responsibility of the homeowners.
Part of the pruning activity will occur on lateral lines, some of which will require climbing in rear lot areas.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The CDC moratorium on evictions has ended; Seminole County is committed to ensuring families receive assistance, if needed, and reminds residents that grants are available for low or very low-income households impacted by COVID-19. Seminole County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) has approximately $3.6 million in funding remaining, while the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMAP) has nearly $1.5 million in remaining grants.
Of Seminole County’s 167,500 households, it is estimated that 45,000 are below 80% of the average median income. If these families can show a loss of wages, loss of hours worked, or other income loss due to COVID-19, they may qualify for past-due rent/mortgage and utility payments.
