The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021

Small businesses, both home-based and brick and mortar, may apply for the grant. To qualify a business must have a valid Seminole County Tax Receipt. Businesses that demonstrate a loss of income for April - June 2021 or July September - 2021, as compared to the pre-pandemic quarter of January - March 2020 are eligible for this program. At this time, the program is not accepting applications for businesses that cannot demonstrate a loss outside of this time frame.

Tree Trimming 4th Quarter

Crews will be pruning trees along electric lines through the 4th quarter of 2021. The attached map shows the lines planned for trimming.

As a reminder, debris resulting from storm damage or other events unrelated to our maintenance activities is the responsibility of the homeowners.

Part of the pruning activity will occur on lateral lines, some of which will require climbing in rear lot areas.

As you begin to prepare for gatherings with family and friends for Thanksgiving tomorrow please keep these important safety tips from the National Fire Presentation Association in mind:
The Longwood Police Department Citizens on Patrol members teamed up with the Seniors Intervention Group volunteers to deliver the special Senior Thanksgiving meals to some very dear citizens on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

We are so thankful for our COP volunteers and know they made a huge difference for our seniors!!!
The Longwood Police Department would love to partner with your community! If you currently have Homeowner Association or Neighborhood Watch meetings please let us know so that we can make plans to attend.

If you are interested in starting a Neighborhood Watch we can help with that too! Please contact Corporal Kimberly Feld, Community Relations Officer if your community would like to connect: kfeld@longwoodfl.org.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The CDC moratorium on evictions has ended; Seminole County is committed to ensuring families receive assistance, if needed, and reminds residents that grants are available for low or very low-income households impacted by COVID-19.
