Greetings!

As we come to the closing days of LatinX Heritage Month, we are so honored to spotlight María Saldaña as our most recent Lumenary and representative of this wonderful community. If you didn't get a chance to read her story, view it here.

In this issue, we also catch up with our board member, Christina Franco, and her work making a Sensory Path course on an elementary school playground.

Sensory Paths, with Christina Franco

LumenSparQ board member, Christina Franco, worked with high school and middle school student volunteers to design and create a Sensory Path course for the young learners at Buford Elementary School.

The purpose of a Sensory Path is to allow students to use exercise and motion to release stress and cope with various emotional states.

THE LFL LAUNCH!

The Little Free Library has been up and running since the beginning of school. We are so grateful to our supporters for helping to make this campaign a reality. Thank you to those that donated funds to pay for all of the materials and to those who donated much needed books.

Laptop Donations

Through a generous donation from Westside Neighborhood School, LumenSparQ delivered over ninety Chromebooks to 156th Street Elementary.

Mrs. Dudley writes, "Thanks to Westside Neighborhood School, we are able to keep a full set of charged computers in each of the classrooms for our youngest scholars...without the fear of damaging the computer while on the playground...or on the way home."
