TIME SENSITIVE INVITATION TO PARTNER WITH THE SFIC
IN THIS SEASON OF THANKSGIVING
For the San Francisco Interfaith Council (SFIC), Thanksgiving is the "Season of Giving With a Thankful Heart." It is the season we open our Interfaith Winter Shelter, gather for a beloved and anticipated Prayer Breakfast and come together on Thanksgiving Day for worship. As with so many other sectors, COVID-19 necessitated that the SFIC make adjustments to its cycle of events.

Our shelter will open for its 34th year and we are grateful to our host and meal providers for answering the call to generously offer their facilities and prepare meals for the 60-100 homeless guests we will welcome from the Monday before Thanksgiving until the end of March.

Out of concern for the health and wellbeing of all who attend, the SFIC will not host its annual and beloved Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast, but instead, gather on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Mark's Lutheran Church (1111 O'Farrell Street, San Francisco, CA), for an Interfaith Service "Reimagining Thanksgiving." This worship gathering, that welcomes our City's civic and religious partners, will afford us the occasion to come together as the "beloved community" to give thanks for our multitude of blessings.

Because the Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast was the SFIC's signature gathering and fundraising event, at which so many of you made your annual generous offerings, we would humbly ask that you consider continuing your financial support by becoming a sponsor of this year's worship gathering. Special recognition will be expressed in the Program Book that will be distributed at the service as well as on the SFIC's website for those offering sponsorships at the $600 level and above. All who financially support the SFIC will be acknowledged in the Program Book.

Alternatively, you may send a check to the San Francisco Interfaith Council, P.O. Box 29055, San Francisco, CA 94129. In order to be acknowledged in the Program Book, we ask that your gift be received by November 14, 2022.

Should you have any questions regarding making a contribution, please contact Cynthia Zamboukos at 415-531-3914 or email czamboukos.sfic@gmail.com.

Thanking you in advance for your thoughtful consideration and generosity, we remain,

Appreciatively,
