Analog S.T.E.A.M.+D 

I ntensive 3 day bootcamp for creatives and entrepreneurs.  Bi-lingual friendly. Workshop conducted by Alejandro Excia from NEEUKO Inc.


Overview:  
Analog STEAM introduces creative entrepreneurs to the innovation process, from conceptualization to implementation. Get a sneak peek to what it takes to not only think up ideas, but to also make them happen. Participants will leave with a basic understanding of the innovation process and practical skills to push their projects fo rward.

About Neeuko:
NEEUKO@Sagrado  is part of an innovative college ecosystem of the Sacred Heart University located in the heart of Santurce, Puerto Rico. In this space we promote an environment and the culture of open innovation and entrepreneurship, within a series of educational activities that may include lectures, interviews and book presentations. Neeuko encourages the community to bring their concept ideas and they will be guided through a process that it will enhance that idea into reality.

Arts Path to Leadership with: Maria Dominguez

Hands-on arts literacy workshop based on critically acclaimed exhibit. Learn about Puerto Rican cultural and civil rights contributions to the LES and NYC history.


Overview: 
Maria Dominguez (visual artist, muralist and educator with a deep history in the Loisaida neighborhood) will use Object Based learning with Loisaida, Inc's 2015 acclaimed !Presente! The Young Lords in New York Exhibit. While adhering The New York States Department of Education Standards the workshop will lead students to gain access into the contribution of the Puerto Rican community's cultural, political history while engaging them in a hands-on art project. This exposure can lead students to make global community connections. One that is imperative to the development of young students as they form their character and identity.

About Maria:
Dominguez Is a Loisaida native with a 30 year trajectory in public art making and commissions by The Metropolitan Transportation Authority in NYC with a permanent glass installation "El -Views"in 2002 among others. Currently, scholars are surveying her early murals and personal professional documents are being archived by The Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College in NYC.
